Musical Director: Robert Baxter
Robert Baxter has conducted the band since 2000. He began his musical career playing trumpet in local bands including DCB and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. Since graduating from the RSAMD in 1988, he has worked with all of the professional orchestras in Scotland, including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the RSNO, and the orchestra of Scottish Ballet. He has also played with the New London Consort, the Goldberg Ensemble, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and the Singapore Orchestra. Robert works regularly with NYOS and the West of Scotland Schools Orchestra and is also conductor of the Helensburgh Orchestral Society and Dunbartonshire Wind Ensemble.
